About Torque |
Torque Enterprises was launched in 2006. As a husband and wife team, we fundamentally believe that the maintenance of optimum health is an individual pursuit that lasts a lifetime. We are focused on utilizing natural tools such as dietary modification, iridology assessment, herbs, essential oils, acupressure, and Raindrop Therapy to bring you and those you love into better balance of body and mind.
Torque places a high value on education, and frequently conducts seminars, workshops, and classes on various holistic health topics. In order to ensure that you have the best tools available to you, we are also happy to supply a wide range of medicinal-grade products available in our online store.
Currently, Jason is focused on personal training, including coaching powerlifting and bodybuilding, and expanding JJ Digital Designs, their shared photography and art design company. Jan is available for individualized consultations with people and animals, as well as limited group instruction. She is an experienced freelance writer with her first book currently in progress, and is happy to submit written works, appear as a guest speaker, or grant interviews on health-related topics.

Jason hails from Alaska, and grew up hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1999, and reported to the United States Naval Academy in 2002. He was commissioned in the USMC in May of 2006, with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science. He is a certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant and Personal Trainer, A.F.P.A.
Jason is an experienced competitor in numerous sports, including wrestling, cross country running, bodybuilding and powerlifting Jason now has 13+ years of powerlifting combined with 2 years of competitive bodybuilding under his belt. A 4-time collegiate All-American in 3 different weight classes, he holds several state powerlifting records as well. As a coach, Jason led the Naval Academy team for while he attended school there, ending in a combined team trophy every year. A certified USAPL State Referee himself, he has trained 2 All-Americans, and catapulted over 40 lifters to the National level within their first year of competition, while at the same time rigorously training himself.
After a knee injury that sidelined Jason from powerlifting in late 2007, he decided to more fully pursue his love for photography; he is an experienced nature photographer, and has expanded his work to modelling and special events. Please visit JJ Digital Designs for more information. |

Jan was born in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, and moved many times in the following years as part of her military family. She reported to the United States Naval Academy from Texas in 2002, and was commissioned into the United States Navy in 2006, with a Bachelors of Science in Honors English. She now serves in the Public Affairs community.
Jan's passion is naturopathic wellness, and she devotes a great deal of time channeling her own experience and knowledge into teaching others how to use therapeutic-grade essential oils, iridological assessment, herbs, dietary modification, acupressure, and other practices to guide themselves and their pets further along the road to optimum health. Specializing in naturopathic care for canines, Jan is a certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant and Personal Trainer, A.F.P.A., as well as a certified Iridologist. She is currently working toward a doctorate of naturopathy.
Jan fell in love with competitive powerlifting in 2005, and it has been quite a ride since that first day in the gym. She attained national level rankings in her first season, while at the same time helping coach the women's team at the Naval Academy to a 5th place National team finish, and taking the lead in instructing the combined team in matters of nutrition. Under Jason's tutelage, she currently holds world, national, and state powerlifting records across three federations. Shifting her focus to figure and physique competitions, she will step on the stage as a figure competitor for the National Physique Committee (NPC) in the summer of 2008.
